An unbelievable 770 solutions were submitted from around the world, and thousands of people worked together to address challenges and create immeasurable amount of enthusiasm and investment in exploration. Of those solutions, 134 were nominated for global recognition.
Nicaragua participated in this global event hosted by the UAM and presented to NASA their two top solutions that would enter the global nominations. Of these two solutions, the project iSpot it! elaborated by 8th grade American Nicaraguan Students Andrew Slick, Juan Pablo Abaunza, Fernando Ortiz and iOS developer Sheila Slick received Global Honorable Mention for "Most Inspiring", a solution that captured their hearts and attention.
