The character of Ruby Sunrise is fictional, but has a firm historical basis in the life of inventor Philo T. Farnsworth. In 2007, we spoke with historian Phil Savaneck, who has produced numerous documentaries about television’s history, about the life of this extraordinary, but still relatively unknown pioneer.
An L.A. Theatre Works full-cast performance featuring Asher Book, Katharine Leonard, Kate McGregor-Stewart, Elisabeth Moss, Jason Ritter, Kate Steele and Henry Winkler.
This play is part of L.A. Theatre Works’ Relativity Series featuring science-themed plays. Major funding for the Relativity Series is provided by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to enhance public understanding of science and technology in the modern world.
