MUSE Summarizer, an application for summarizing articles and web pages for the IPhone users
Reading an article or a web page is a time-consuming process.
For every person it takes a lot of time to find an article relevant to his subject of interest. There are different ways to find the relevant articles such as looking for certain keywords in the article or reading the first paragraph. The most efficient solution is to read a good summary of the article, but the existing summarization tools are language dependent and usually do not return good results.
We implemented the “MUSE” Algorithm, which is a language-independent summarization algorithm with better performance than other summarization algorithms.
We implemented “MUSE Summarizer”, using the Apple development environment and we made it possible for the user to change the size of the summary (number of key sentences).
We have verified that the application produces good quality summaries in various languages.
