Phonics Hero is a series of games (or lessons) with friendly characters, quality graphics and simple tunes, designed to make early reading and spelling fun – when a child doesn’t realise they are learning, they learn!

How it works
This is because a small team, comprising an educational psychologist, Australian teachers, parents, developers, and children has been involved in the development of every lesson – over 450 of them.
Each level is divided into 6 pillars, which contain up to 9 unique games, starting from the basics and gradually getting more complex as a child progresses through their reading and spelling mission.

These pillars are structured in such a way that they address an essential early literacy skill such as;
1.Knowing phonemes (sounds)
2.Reading words using these sounds they have learned
3.Spelling words using these sounds
4.Camera/sight word reading
5.Camera/sight word spell
6.Putting all these skills together to read sentences

Your Child’s Reading Mission

In part 1 your child sets off on a mission to rescue the superhero friends from Dr Lazy Bones gang who hate reading!
Moving onto part 2, children must now lock up Dr. Lazy Bones’ baddies; who have been up to no good, whilst your child was busy rescuing the heroes.
