DIY Household Sewing Machine

This is a great instructional app that will teach you how to maintain and service your household sewing machine problems, save you a lot of money and keep your machine safe and healthy.

There are three ways of learning in this app:
Video- A worldwide qualified sewing machine mechanic that has been in the industry for 52 years. He also gives workshops on how to maintain and service your sewing machine in fabric shops, sewing machine shops, community centers, schools, colleges, sewing machine factories and quilt shops.
Animation- Directing you to the different section in the parts that you are servicing.
Document- Telling you in word form step by step ways of servicing the individual parts eg. Bobbin case

We show you the three main problems that can be serviced at home.

A.The bobbin case. We show you how to remove the bobbin case and the needle plate. We show you how to clean the bobbin case area, how to oil the bobbin case area and what type of oil and how many drops you will need. We then show you how to put it back together.

B. How to put a new needle in the machine. We show you how to loosen the clamp screw, how to take the needle out, tell you what sort of needles you should have for your sewing machine and how to put a new needle in correctly.

C. How to clean the tension unit. We show you how to raise your presser foot, release your tension units and what your tensions should be on when cleaning. We then show you how to clean your tension unit between the disks (very important) We then show you how to put the tension back and what settings they should be set at.(Factory settings)

D.Tips. We show you what equipment you need for your sewing machine, brushes, oils, cloths, etc
