The Best of Cambridge takes you on a unique journey around some of the best places in Cambridge, including the University, College's and Museum's.
The journey starts with an introduction to Cambridge and then you start the tour properly by exploring the University, moving to the other areas of Cambridge by either following a list of places or by using the in-built street map and simply tapping places that take your interest.
Each place is described by professional tour guides. You will discover what places are actually like, learn fascinating history and be entertained with local stories and legends. Each entry is illustrated with photographs and many are accompanied by audio commentary, including period music and authentic sound effects.
Use the Best of Cambridge to either take you on a virtual tour, help you decide where to visit for yourself or as your own personal tour guide when you get there.
Places covered include: Cambridge University College's - Christ's, Clare, Corpus Christi, Emmanuel, Gonville & Caius, Jesus, King's, Magdalene, Pembroke, Peterhouse, Queens', Sidney Sussex, St John's and Trinity. University Museums - Archeology & Anthropology, Fitzwilliam, Scott Polar Institute, Sedgwick, Whipple and Zoology. Historic Churches - Round Church, St Benet's, St Botolph's, St Mary the Great and St Mary the Less. Also included is the story of 3 historic Cambridge University students, 4 historic local pubs, plus revealing the secrets of the Corpus Clock.
The entire app operates offline and does not require a data connection - ideal for international visitors.
