In 1789 the absolutist monarchy in France, weakened by years of financial and political crisis, gave way to a new order. But while the new leaders of France promised a peaceful transition to fairer government, the revolution was far from over.
French Revolution Quiz is a great way to test and revise your understanding of this critical event in world history. Produced by Alpha History, French Revolution Quiz contains six different multiple choice quizzes, each focusing on a different timeframe:
Quiz 1: Imperial France before the revolution
Quiz 2: The financial crisis of the 1780s
Quiz 3: The political events of 1789
Quiz 4: The first years of the new regime
Quiz 5: Growing division and radicalism
Quiz 6: From the the Terror to Thermidor
French Revolution Quiz is ideal for those teaching or studying the French Revolution at senior secondary or undergraduate level. It is suitable for a range of courses, including VCE and HSC (Australia) AP (US) GCSE (UK) and IB (worldwide). All questions are written by qualified historians or teachers.
Each quiz contains 25 different multiple choice questions, a total of 150 questions in all. Results and answers are provided at the end of each quiz. And you can close the app halfway through a quiz and return to it later. French Revolution Quiz is a great way to learn about the revolution, revise content and prepare for tests and exams.
