Ripple uses your location to provide you with notifications like profile updates from your friends & promotional offers from merchants around your location. Background updation requires an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 with iOS 4 or above.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Please turn off background location updates in the app's settings or ripple's location setting if you are experiencing battery drain problems on your iOS device.
