The Association Suisse de Golf (ASG), the Swiss Golf Association is the umbrella organization of golf in Switzerland. Its main tasks include the monitoring, support, regulating the exercise and the development of golf in Switzerland. The ASG serves as representing the interests of affiliated golf clubs and associations, promotes and supports the sport of golf in Switzerland, the game of golf as a sport performance and excellence in amateur and professional athletes as well as the promotion of young talent. The ASG consists currently (2012) 95 80 000 good golf clubs and golf-playing members. ASG since 1946 Member of Swiss Olympic, the umbrella organization of the sports federations. The federal government has taken up the sport of golf from March 2010 in the so-called User Group 1, so that the ASG can benefit from all services provided by J + S. The association organizes all the ASG national championships and national teams. At the same time it monitors the application of the Rules of Golf and the EGA Handicap System. In addition, adopt the ASG national sweepstakes rules. The ASG was founded in 1902 and is based in Epalinges (VD).
