ourlanguages.gc.ca on the go! is the Government of Canada’s first mobile linguistic application. Developed by the Translation Bureau (www.btb.gc.ca), it lets you search TERMIUM Plus®, the Government of Canada’s terminology and linguistic data bank.

TERMIUM Plus®, the Language Portal of Canada’s flagship product, is:

- one of the largest linguistic data banks in the world, containing nearly 4 million acronyms, abbreviations, and technical and highly specialized terms, as well as the Government of Canada’s official terminology in English and French;

- a bilingual dictionary to find the precise English or French equivalents for many terms in various fields;

- a unilingual dictionary to verify the meaning of highly specialized terms not found in most standard dictionaries;

- a collection of emerging English and French terminology in nearly every field of human endeavour.

The Language Portal of Canada (www.ourlanguages.gc.ca) is a website that showcases Canadian expertise in language—a one-stop source for information on language and writing, quizzes, writing tools and many other resources dealing with different aspects of English and French.

An Internet connection is required to use this application.

This application supports both English and French and will choose the appropriate language based on your device's settings. To run this application in French please switch your device into French mode and restart the application.
