The Hon. David Agius was elected in the Executive Committee of the Nationalist Party in 1996. IN 2001 HE WAS ELECTED IN THE ATTARD LOCAL COUNCIL. IN 2003 AND 2008 HE WAS ELECTED TO PARLIAMENT and currently (2012) occupies the position of Government Whip and Secretary of the Nationalist Party Parliamentary Group. HE IS ALSO THE HEAD OF THE MALTESE PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION AT THE COMMONWEALTH PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION.

He is also a member of the Standing Committee OF THE House Business COMMITTEE and Vice President of the Christian Democrat Workers of the EPP (European People's Party).

Since 1991 he presented and produced various programmes on Radio 101, Net TV, UTV and Smash TV.
