The author of Basic Strategy for Blackjack, assumes the user has knowledge of Las Vegas style Blackjack, and is looking to better their basic strategy skills. Basic Strategy for Blackjack is NOT for the Blackjack beginner.
The basic strategy beginner will see all the rules and get all the necessary information to jumpstart the process of learning basic strategy. As skill levels improves, the beginner can make changes to a few settings and remain challenged and learning.
Advanced settings are provided for the skilled professional looking to get in a good workout and stay tuned up on basic strategy.
The goal is to choose the correct strategy for the combination of the cards on screen. The two cards at the top are the player cards and the single card is the dealers up-card. Look at the combination of cards and decide weather to Hit, Stand, Double or Split. If the hand is played correctly, a new hand will be dealt.
The hand will not be completely played-out. Basic Strategy for Blackjack is about learning basic strategy not Blackjack. If the default settings are being used, a new hand will not be dealt until a correct selection is made.
If a wrong choice is made, that hand will be recorded in the history area for later review. The history will record the cards that were in play, the action taken, the strategy key and the strategy rule, for every missed hand. After history has accumulated, tap on a hand in the history area to expose the full information.
A basic strategy chart is provided to further assist in the learning process.
