My name is Bernie Cassell and I am an Ice Hockey Skill Development Coach. I have been fortunate over the years to be able to work with players of all ages and skill levels, from youth hockey through the professional ranks. My coaching has taken me all over North America, Europe, Scandinavia, and Asia to work with men and women in this great game.

My hockey journey has taken me to the highest level of the sport. I have combined a lifetime of hockey experiences as both a player and a coach along with a Master’s Degree in Education to create a unique coaching style. This app has been designed to teach hockey players the proper way to develop their skill sets. These techniques are presented in a clear and concise manner that does not intimidate and is easy to follow.

Ice hockey puck skills alone are complex skills to develop. Add the ice skating component to the mix and now we have an incredibly complex sport to play. Hockey players play the game at high speeds and are required to execute complex plays in a split second while being defended and in some cases, body checked. Therefore, it is important to constantly work on your skill sets. Review this app daily to ensure you fully comprehend the concepts and techniques. Regardless of your skill level, the coaching in this app will give you the foundation to build and/or enhance your skill sets properly.

The skills focused on in this app are; forward skating, backward skating, puck handling, wrist shot, backhand shot, and the chop shot.
