Description of the App :
"More men have walked on the moon than have dived to the deepest part of our oceans"
The Deep Exhibition brings together the most comprehensive collection of deep-sea specimens ever exhibited. More than 40 extremely rare animals are on display, many of which have never been seen by the public before. Odd and mesmeric, these breathtaking specimens are accompanied by 3 films and nearly 70 backlit images of captivating sea fauna and ethereal bioluminescent creatures in a unique, pitch black environment, virtually immersing visitors into the realm of the deep-sea.
Organized into thematic zones, the exhibition unfolds to reveal the different depths of the sea, from mid-water to the life on the ocean floor. Visitors have the experience of diving down the water column as they progress through the exhibition.
About the Exhibition :
The deep sea is Earth’s largest reservoir of life yet remains largely uncharted only about ten percent of the seafloor has been mapped with any reasonable degree of detail The ocean’s depths are home to creatures as magnificent as they are strange.
Combining the latest deep-sea science with astonishing real specimens, THE DEEP at ArtScience Museum is an exceptional exhibition that presents the largest collection of deep-sea creatures ever displayed, along with an educational content about the oceans and our interaction with them.
