Find your location on the Earth like the sailors did, without GPS or the internet, just your iPod or iPhone and the Sun. This free version uses your first and last sighting to get a fix on your location to within about one hundred miles. It requires a camera and accelerometer.
You can get the paid version which allows you to use many sigh tights to get a fix to a few miles, to use only a subset, and email your sightings.
This is not a simulation. You actually measure the location of the Sun with the build-in camera and the app figures out where you are.
TIP: Cover your lens with eclipse glasses or a bit of Mylar balloon to get a smaller image and better fix on the Sun.
