Religious travel guide - Monasteries and churches in Greece
Greece is well known for its magical islands with its mesmerizing beaches. However, it is not often recognized for its countless historical churches and monasteries that date back to over 1000 A.D. Monasteries and church's that our homes to the most well know miraculous icons of ancient and modern day Orthodox Saints and of Christianity. Monasteries and Churches where biblical saints lived, preached, and in many cases were martyred our common throughout Greece's mainland and islands.
In this unique Application we combine 50 of the most well know monasteries, with photographs, history and maps, along with 20 of rarely listed chapels and churches that are on the Greek Islands and mainland.
Not only will you see awe inspiring chapels built on isolated seemingly impossible cliffs, but regal Cathedrals and Churches.
