The Guitar Collection: George Harrison is an exploration of Harrison’s historic guitars, instruments that the legendary artist played on some of the most famous songs in music history.
The app features the Rickenbacker 360/12, the Gretsch Duo Jet, the Rosewood Telecaster, the Gibson J-160E, the Zemaitis Lotus 12-String, the Ramirez Classical, the Cherry Les Paul, the Epiphone Casino, the Fender Stratocaster named “Rocky," and more.
From his years with The Beatles to his vaunted solo career, Harrison’s talent continues to define the sound of popular music. For the first time, with the help of unique 360° imaging by photographer Steven Sebring, fans can see the scratches, dings and worn threads on the guitars as if they were holding the instruments themselves.
The app features:
-360° images of Harrison’s guitars
-Detailed histories and descriptions of each guitar, including the origin of the guitar, when and how it came to be a part of Harrison’s collection, modifications he made to it, and why each was so important in creating his distinctive sound
-An innovative music library that allows you to listen to your personal Harrison music collection as you tour his guitars
-Rare audio of George introducing many of the guitars and demonstrating their tone
-Ultra hi-res images of all guitars
-Exclusive videos of Dhani Harrison, Ben Harper, Josh Homme, Conan O’Brien and Mike Campbell playing George’s guitars
-Interviews with acclaimed guitarist Gary Moore
