Reader Rabbit 1st Grade - Capers on Cloud Nine!
Why is raingear raining down on Wordville? Journey with Reader Rabbit and Sam the Lion up to Cloud Nine to sort out this meteorlogical mystery. Can you help Reader Rabbit and Sam the Lion explore Cloud Nine and Raingear Island in search of the things that Irvin needs to stop the falling raingear? If you find the items and bring them back to Irvin, he will turn off his machine and stop the avalanche of raingear. But don’t delay—the pile of raingear is getting bigger by the minute. If you wait too long, it might topple over and bury Wordville!
This game is designed to help kids learn basic 1st Grade skills like Language Arts, Science, Problem Solving, and Math as well as Creative Exploration and Expression through a series of fun and entertaining mini-games.
Game Features
* Full video cutscenes and voice acting throughout the game including songs
* Simple touch based controls perfect for younger kids
* Multiple difficulty levels for each mini-game adding hours of replay value
* In-game progress reports so kids (and parents) can track their progression
Mini-Game Examples:
Cloud Spelling Challenge
* Players apply knowledge of consonant and vowel sounds, consonant blends, and letter patterns to spell or complete the spelling of words ranging from three to seven letters.
Gumball Science
* Gumball Science incorporates a variety of science, reading, and problemsolving skills as the player positions multiple ramps to create a path for a falling token to hit a correct word.
Silly Sandwich Shop
* Children use coins to purchase items and create a silly sandwich. Counting with coins helps develop number sense and teaches children to count by multiples, which is a first step in multiplication.
