NewsChina is a monthly current affairs periodical published in English by China Newsweek and sponsored by the China News Service. In June 2009, with approval from the General Administration of Press and Publication, NewsChina rebranded itself China Weekly for distribution on the Chinese mainland.
Our publication focuses on in-depth analysis of the political, social and economic realities of contemporary China. China Weekly is distributed simultaneously in the North America and China and is the most subscribed China-related news periodical in the US. In addition, China Weekly Oceania and China Weekly India are currently in development.
At the end of 2009, China Weekly was listed as one of the most important cultural initiatives targeting the overseas market by the ministries of Commerce and Culture, the State Administration of Radio, Film and TV, and the General Administration of Press and Publications. China Weekly was the only Shanghai World Expo 2010-authorized English periodical targeting overseas readers.
