Granny Maie shares ‘tried-and-tasted’ classics passed down to her over 150 years of family confectionery making – from Fudges and Toffee Apples, to Marshmallows, Turkish Delight and other unforgettable festive, fête and bake sale favourites.

Designed to take the ‘tricky’ and ‘sticky’ out of traditional boiled confectionery it’s a uniquely no-fuss, ‘look-and-cook’ app for all ages and levels of cooking skill. Nostalgically styled and charmingly illustrated, it features vintage equipment and simple ingredients Gran still uses today, accompanied by light-hearted ‘Gran-knows-best’ advice, anecdotes, and even some of her fascinating candy-making ‘memoirs!

This ultra user-friendly app also offers handy ‘you-will-need’ sections for every recipe including a ‘tick-as-you-shop’ Ingredient Compiler and a comprehensive Equipment and Packaging List. To keep the candy making flop-proof and fun, Gran provides prompts, quick notes, alerts and tips on everything from critical temperature to co-opting your family and friends as kitchen helpers. She’ll even show you how to create some of your own DIY candy-making equipment. Her recipes all use both metric and imperial measuring.

There are 15 individual boiled confectionery recipes to choose from, grouped into 5 recipe sections:
• Plain Toffees, including Lollipops, Barley Sugar and Butterscotch;
