The “two most loveable pieces of footwear around”, Sock and his best friend Boots are the stars of the "Sock n Boots" children’s book series and want to become best friends with children all over the world.
The Sock n Boots series was created to foster a love of reading at a young age and to teach children valuable life lessons while turning story time into an interactive bonding time. The stories stimulate positive thinking, while building a bond between parents and children, as well as teachers and students as the stories and the pictures are discussed.
Each Sock n Boots story begins with a question. Then through the antics of the characters, a lesson is taught that answers the question. Once the story is finished the question is posed again which opens the door for additional discussion and interaction.
The Sock n Boots-Adventures app for Ipad includes three stories filled with beautifully illustrated pictures that are full of detail and vibrant color.
About the characters
Sock is the younger and more mischievous of the pair. He is a playful and very emotional little guy. He is quick to look for fun but often finds trouble instead. It’s not uncommon to see him shed a tear or two when things get tough. His pal Boots always seems to be there to make him feel better and get him out of trouble.
The smartest little Boot you’ll ever get to know. He’s a little wiser than his younger friend Sock which makes them fit so well together. He’s all for fun but manages to keep a level head. Boots has a sweet tooth and can’t resist a nice big piece of chocolate cake. He is everything a best friend is supposed to be.

★ "Read it Myself" — read the book in its traditional form and enjoy touch activated features.
★ "Auto Play" — Narrated story plays like a movie, automatically reading and turning pages set to music. Great for younger children!

★ Picture / Word association — words appear and are spoken and spelled when pictures are touched.
★ Interactive audio – Some pictures provide audio descriptions and/or the narrator will ask the reader what they think a particular object is when pictures are touched. This feature engages the child’s imagination.
★ Individual words highlight and are read when the “follow read” feature is active.
★ Professional audio narration.
★ Write my own story feature – Parents and children can work together to create their own versions of each Sock n Boots story. The created stories are saved to the device with the users voice recorded as the narrator. This one of a kind feature allows you to share your story via Facebook. Great for story time with advanced readers or for parents and/or Grandparents that want to send a child a bedtime story from anywhere in the world.
★ Interactive coloring book – Numbers and letters fill each page of the touchscreen coloring book. Numbers, names of colors and letters are spelled and pronounced as they are touched. Space is provided for children to practice writing the numbers and letters. Great for teaching young ones colors, numbers and letters.
