Composers' handbook is a musical dictionary containing information about over 50 instruments used in jazz and classical music.

It helps you composing by showing you basic and extended ranges of instruments and transposition information. On instruments that are rarely used, you will find information on techniques and notation issues. Most information about ranges on the internet is confusing. This is a try to show it to you in an easy-to-use way. No network connection needed. The composers' handbook also gives you new ideas by listing extended techniques used in modern classical music and jazz. There is also a list of practicable low interval limits used by jazz and pop arrangers.
