Square of Nine Vertical

The Square of Nine used by W.D.Gann is re-arranged so that it can be displayed vertically to fit an iPhone. This Square of Nine Vertical™ instantly calculates support and resistance using known high or low prices. Unlike conventional retracements, you do not need to know the entire range for the calculation. Also, another mode calculates support and resistance based on the Square of Nine natural numbers and displays nearest to the input price. These two calculation modes can be toggled back and forth by clicking a radio button. Built-in price to tick conversions are done automatically based on different markets by choosing the button. Some of the conversion process is proprietary based on our own research. The user settings allow changes in two areas which include price volatility and the number of squares to be combined. For example, if super short term trading is preferred to reduce price volatility, then you increase the resolution setting from 1 to 10, 10 to 100 etc. However, there are rare cases when resolution settings alone will not produce good fit of calculated range to the actual market range. On these occasions, more than two sides of the squares can be combined as one. The binding number can be set from 2 and up. The color-coded levels help to distinguish minor and major retracements and extensions with minimum strain to your eyes.
