The Stray Dog is the sequel of the much-loved book, A New Pet.
In this book, our delightful dog hero, Spike, is living happily with his family, including the new member he initially disliked.
However, one day, when Spike's family decides to go on vacation, they simply dump Spike by the freeway. Lonely, terrified and hungry, Spike roams around the streets suddenly forced to face the hardships all abandoned pets experience...
This is a story with a happy ending that tries to show both kids and parents that pets are not objects that we throw away when we don't need them anymore. Taking care of pets helps kids grow and become responsible adults.
