This medical app, based on the highly successful Palliative Network Guidelines in the UK, provides health care professionals with access to an evidence based palliative care guideline with regular updates. The Palli app, available to both iphone and ipad gives you the opportunity to ensure that the treatment you are prescribing is both appropriate and up to date. The app aims to provide busy professionals with the answers to key clinical questions in a practical and concise manner.
For example;
1. What is now recommended for treating patients with neuropathic pain?
2. What should I prescribe for this patient with nausea?
3. If antibiotics are appropriate which one is recommended?
4. How should I change from a fentanyl patch to a syringe driver?
5. Could this patient have spiritual pain? If so what could I do about it?
6. Will these medicines mix in the syringe driver?
7. Is there anything else we could use to help with this patient’s fungating wound?
The Palli app has been produced and extensively peer reviewed by over 100 specialist clinicians and has been endorsed by eight UK cancer networks, the Wales Implementation board and the Royal College of General Practitioners.
