Regatta is an application for sailors.

Boats in the same regatta class can see each others location, speed and course.

You do NOT need to pre-register before you leave home, simply type your regatta class and you are good to go.

That means that you can use the app even if there is no official regatta in your area. You and your friends can just type in anything (but the same text) in the regatta class field, and you can enjoy seeing each others info as you go sailing.

Getting started
=========
The first thing you do, after you have downloaded the app, is to register your information on the Settings page in the app.

You need to register the regatta Class you participate in. The Class decides which other boats you will see in the app.

Who will you see?
===========
You will only see competitors that also run the Regatta iPhone app. Make sure to tip your friends on other boats to download and to run the app to get the most out of it: the more boats who are using it, the more stats you will get during the race.

Leader board
========
When the race starts, you should update the direction to your waypoint or target as you turn. This will calibrate the leader board to the correct order.

Periscope view
=========
Through the Periscope view, you can see the other boats in your Class through your iPhone camera. Information about the boats identity speed and direction will be drawn on top of the boats.

Test it before you sail
=============
You can test the app before you go sailing. Just type TEST as your regatta Class name. You will be provided with 4 virtual boats around your position.
