The liberalization of the business of law will save Japan and herald the true birth of the quaternary sector of the economy!
This work constitutes an electronic version of A Potential Market Worth Twenty Trillion Yen: Towards Reaping a Bonanza From Legal Services, which was released at the same time as Why Even A Monkey Could Practice Law In Japan was published.

(Main contents)
The legal profession in Japan is brimming with inefficiencies and absurdities. For example, collaborations with non-lawyers are prohibited. As well, there are plenty of incompetent, decrepit lawyers who earn high levels of income simply by handling a mere twenty to thirty cases a year. The legal profession in this country is a closed one that uses the “autonomy of lawyers” as an excuse to allow these problems to fester. If reform of the judicial system can lead to real changes in the Attorney Act and the legal profession, a market for legal services worth in excess of twenty trillion yen will surely emerge. Such reform could even act as a kiss of life for the ailing Japanese economy! Home Lawyers director Kenshi Nishida delivers his compelling case for why it is necessary to pursue the liberalization of the legal services sector.
