Elizabeth Taylor died recently at age 79, and LIFE will turn 75 this year—we have been entwined for a long, long time. Liz was always kind to the camera, and the camera was very kind to her. We told stories in words and pictures, and she enjoyed having her story told. That story is revisited in full in this special commemorative book, now vividly colorful on the iPad.

With the passing of this great movie star, philanthropist, and-bona fide, in-her-day living legend, it is our pleasure as much as our duty to celebrate her glorious life.
