Are you sitting at the airport watching planes roll by wondering what kind of plane it is? Interested in aviation but have a hard time telling different types of jetliners apart. This app will help you determine the type of aircraft seen based on a handful of user provided observations.

Many of today’s modern airliners are nearly identical in appearance, however aviation buffs know to look for those small telltale features of each aircraft type. For example, the easiest way to tell a Boeing 767 from a Boeing 777 at a quick glance is to look at the landing gear. This app will help you pick out these minor differences and figure out what types of airplanes are rolling by.

NOTE: This app only features jet aircraft from major Western manufactures that are used in commercial passenger and cargo service. This app is aimed mainly at aircraft viewable at North American airports. Propeller based aircraft, small private jets, and aircraft from Russian or Chinese manufactures are not included. The list of airlines is also tailored to carriers operating mainly in North American and Europe.
