“Incandescent,” epitomizes the presence of Christian as an established writer, producer and performer. Characterized by uptempo intensity, this album magnifies the sophisticated aural expression of Christian’s music. While “Departure” took a turn for the serene, “Incandescent” develops an impassioned, powerful and energetic sound, full of vivid tonal color and vibrancy. Many of Incandescent’s themes can be traced back to the beginnings of his solo career with homage to “Variations on a Dream,” yet the phrasing and textures are increasingly complex and elaborate. It is a breakthrough in artistry.

Christian elevates the symphonic-electronica genre, exemplified by the tracks “Overture” and “Solstice.” These pieces, combined with the fully orchestrated “Elegy,” depict an extraordinary grandeur and beauty that will consume the
listener.

Jazz combo greatly influenced several tracks on the album including “Cobalt Lounge” and “Child’s Play”. The biting piano evokes a sense of curiosity and at times bewilderment in the scales and progressions.
