Fight hordes of enemy spaceships in Sector 24 of the Zeta quadrant.
You have one life, and the enemies are numberless! With one finger or using multitouch, you must destroy as many enemy spaceships as possible. See what the highest score you can get is.
Hold and drag on the screen to steer your ship, and tap to fire your lasers in any direction. Avoid the enemy spaceships. Destroy the small enemy spaceships for points, but watch out for the bigger, tougher, faster enemies!
This game has one level and two types of enemies. The game, art, and sound effects were created in a single 24-hour session as a learning exercise. It uses the Cocos2D game engine and the Box2D physics engine.
The full source code and assets are available for free under a Creative Commons licence—just visit our website for details and downloads. You can use any or all of it to learn about iOS game development with Cocos2D, or use it as a base to build your own games.
