Cricket is one of the widely played team sport. It has evolved over the years and currently it is played in various different forms.
It is known for its rich terminology. The terms are quite difficult to understand by those not familiar with the game. For those just introducing themselves to the sport of cricket, this application will take them through the basics of the game. The application will help them in understanding all the terms used in the world of cricket including equipments, scoring system, batting shots, delivers, acronyms, rules and regulations.
The increasing popularity of the sport has reached a phase where a cricket match can give complete thrilling experience to spectators. To make it more and more interesting, governing bodies are making continuous changes to the rules and regulations of the game giving rise to the newer versions of cricket. Earlier, there used to be 5 Day Test match, then came the 120 over One Days, then 100 Over One days and currently the quickest version T20. Similar to the format, the terms have also changed and it becomes very difficult to keep abreast with the terminology.
