The hippogriff is a flying protein source of incomparable flavour. Sure, the beast has recently drawn on the heart-strings of a misguided public, gaining occasional "protected species" status and other sentimental conversation. But back in the day, an overabundance of the beast gave working-class sorcerers the perfect diversion from their diet of everyday woodland creatures. The hippogriff, with its hybrid bird-horse perfection, provides not only mouthwatering poultry and tender steak, but immaculate dairy and eggs for the richest baked desserts. And just wait 'til you taste the bacon!
These recently discovered recipes from the Manchester Folio of 1528 provide the most compelling evidence yet for modern wizards and witches to discard the shackles of ordinary, industrially processed foodstuffs, and again embrace the hippogriff as the centerpiece of large family gatherings.
