The classic puzzle game based on a truly fantastic vehicle, the Volkswagen Golf GTI. Here we show the MK6, released in 2008 and successor to the successful MK5.

The GTI is known as being the best all rounder there is, fast, safe, practical, spacious, classless and solidly built. With nine puzzles and five levels of difficulty, the hard ones are very hard indeed. Included are tools to help when you get stuck.

The GTI MK6 is built in Wolfsburg, Germany and Changchun, China. This model is available as a hatchback, estate and convertible. Volkswagen also offer the 4motion four-wheel drive system with this car. The Golf's A5 (PQ35) platform is shared with many models such as the Audi A3, TT, Volkswagen Touran, Jetta, Eos, Passat, Tiguan and Scirocco. Seat models such as the Leon, Toledo, Altea as well as the Skoda Octavia are all based on the Golf. Golf Engines range from the 1.2 liter TSI, the 1.4 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder and the 2.5 L 5-cylinder.

The biggest selling models in Europe tend to be the incredibly efficient and fast TDI diesels. The DSG gearbox has been a major technological leap forward, however a manual can also be specified. The Golf is placed in a fiercely competitive European market against cars such as the Vauxhall Astra, Ford Focus BMW 1-Series and the Peugeot 308.

In the USA competition comes from the Chevrolet Cobalt, Hyundai Elantra, Kia Forte Koup, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Nissan Sentra, Suzuki SX4 Crossover, Chevrolet Cruze, Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra Touring, Mazda 3, Mitsubishi Lancer, Saturn Astra, Toyota Corolla, Dodge Caliber, Honda Fit, Kia Forte, Mini Clubman, Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback, Subaru Impreza and the Toyota Matrix.

The Golf R is now the ultimate version of this car with the 2 liter FSI turbocharged engine producing 267 bhp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The R uses a revised version of the Haldex 4motion four-wheel drive system. Like many Golfs this model's top speed is limited to 155 mph.

The golf has evolved and proved itself over many, many years and has developed an incredible following around the world.
