Qwirk is the fun way to build up your vocabulary for any college entrance exam, like the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) or National Merit Scholarship Test (NMSQT). Unlike flash card apps, which are *yawn* boring, Qwirk challenges you with word puzzles, getting progressively more difficult on each level.
Qwirk focuses on small words, which must be learned and cannot be deduced from roots and suffixes.
Qwirk includes over 1200 words and definitions.
Play is easy to learn. In a grid of scrambled letters, find a word which matches the definition hint given. Select the word to remove it, causing outer letters to move inwards, revealing new words to find. Stuck? Use the Hint button to get the next correct move. Five hints allowed per game.
Qwirk PSAT Edition includes two other puzzles to improve logic and problem solving skills for any college entrance exam.
-A grid of colored dots. Select lines of three or more to clear the grid. Outer dots move inwards.
-A grid of digits. Select lines which add up to 10 to clear the grid. Outer digits move inwards to form new sums.
All Qwirk puzzles have a solution. Use Undo and Redo to retrace your steps.
12 levels of difficulty, with 6x6, 8x8 and 10x10 grids.
