Split Screen lets you do two things at once by giving you two side by side browser windows. You can read the news in one pane, while chatting with friends using your favorite web apps in the other. UPDATE SUBMITTED TO APPLE - includes fixes for pinch zoom, better bookmarks and more.
Split Screen includes many standard web browser features like bookmarks, history, integrated search bar and more. The other dual browser apps for iPad are missing these basic features.
But don't stop there; there are hundreds of webapps and sites designed specifically for iphone screens that work great in a side pane.
The twitter, facebook, and google web apps all work great. Or simply snap the divider to the center and browse any two regular pages.
Some of our favorite combos:
google chat + anything!
facebook + readability
google translate + foreign news
twitter + links from twitter
