Worlds Apart is a model of the solar system. Hand tuned for performance and realism, it uses hardware accelerated 3D graphics to give you a higher detailed, smoother and more accurate view of our planetary neighbourhood. Prepare for a very different view of the planets than from any ordinary handheld planetarium.

Experts have been crafting clockwork models of the planets for centuries. The design is called an orrery. Worlds Apart follows that tradition by changing the enormous scale of the solar system, to make it easier to see in motion. The sun, planets and moons are all enlarged, and the vast distances between them reduced in size. You can even switch them back to their real sizes to compare, if you like.
