Ultimate Ears has designed this SPL tool to let you measure the sound pressure level using your iPhone and iPad. This tool also works with 4th generation iPod touch, but not earlier versions.
This App can be used to measure dB levels. For instance, you can check the sound level in your music room before a recording, or verify whether you are exposing yourself at a concert to sound pressure levels that may lead to hearing loss.
