Welcome to the FOODIE 500!
Be the center of attention at your next dinner party and share your top favorite food facts!
The FOODIE 500! is an app for iPhone & iTouch devices which has 500 awesome, sometimes shocking, and sometimes useless facts, but so great and interesting that you will want more and more! There are even helpful food and cooking tips!
What makes this app so great? It’s specific to food and beverage and is a collection of the best selected food facts out there! See screen shots below too!
For instance, did you know that there are 8 insect legs in the average chocolate bar?
Or, that if all the Coca-Cola bottles in the world were laid end to end that they would reach the moon and back more than 1,677 times?
Or, that the average American eats 18 acres of pizza in their lifetime?
Or, that bananas contain a natural chemical which can make a person happy. This same chemical is also found in Prozac.
Or, that if you only need half an onion, save the root half. It will last longer.
Or, that if you add one packet of ranch dressing to a McDonald Chef Salad, it will have more fat than a Big Mac?
Or, that the flavor we all know as bubblegum is a combination of wintergreen, vanilla, and cassia (a form of cinnamon)?
Or, that in many states the highway patrol carries 2 gallons of coke in the trunk to remove blood from car accidents on the highway?
Or, that celery has negative calories! It takes more calories to eat a piece of celery than the celery has in it to begin with!
