Are you learning Jazz? Do you want to improve the speed of your chord recognition? Forget those flashcards, because Chord is for you!

Chord is the perfect way to add a simple, yet useful technical exercise into your everyday practice routine.

Chord is an auto advancing flash card player, designed specifically to help you learn new voicings for chords thoroughly so that they are with you for life.

To use:
• Simply place your iPhone or iPod Touch on your music stand, or anywhere next to you.
• In your head, pick a voicing that you want to work on, for example on the piano, Bill Evans,Upper Structure (I,II,II), Shell, So What, Polychord or Quartal.
• Play the chord on the screen. If you are using an iPhone it will recognize that you have played a chord and automatically advance to the next one. iPod Touch users can touch the coloured area to display the next chord to play.


Chord offers the following advantages over using flash cards:
- Automatic Chord Changing - a new chord is shown after hearing any chord (whether it is right or wrong).
- Infinitely Random - unlike cards

Chord is much more effective than working through a pack of flash cards, or working through a pattern like the cycle of fifths. It teaches your brain to be prepared for any chord, in any order. You also save a lot of time in your practice as you can focus your concentration on the chords, and not shuffling through cards.

With as little as 10 minutes a day, you will find your fingers 'knowing' where the voicing you want is. Chord will make you a better player, no matter what your level!

PLEASE NOTE: that currently chord does not support recognition of the chord you have played, the next flash card will advance no matter what chord you play. Chord does not play chords.
