Sail Start Timer

Made for the avid sailor.
Next time you participate in a sailboat race, bring this timer with you. The staggered start is common practice for clubs/races with various boats and fleets.

Every 3, 5, or 6 minutes a new race starts with the horn. Press the race start button when you hear the horn and the timer will start counting down to 0.

At 0 it resets to 3 (or 6) and counts down again. Get to the mark on your start when the timer hits zero.

For the three legs, there are leg times so you can compare how you did on one leg to the next between laps.

Pressing the sleep button will allow the timer to continue (saving you battery juice for the screen but will continue to use a small amount for the timer). If you want the program to end completely hit the Home button.

Version 1 used the iPod "Timer" for it's functions. There have been some irregular accuracy issues with the Timer. This version now polls the iPod "Clock" which is a much more solid method of tracking time.
