Meet...EVON!
Evon is used to hiding her afro with her headscarf and following her friends' clothing trends. She would do anything not to be different. When Evon is given a homework assignment called "self-portrait", she is terrified to explore and exhibit her differences, but she soon realizes that what makes her different is what makes her special. Join Evon on her journey as she explores her family roots and learns about Black Pride.
This app is designed based on research on bilingualism and visual learning, and supports literacy development for deaf children.
App features the following:
• 170+ vocabulary words signed and fingerspelled in LEARN mode
• Page by page sentence ASL videos with English text in READ mode
