GAME PLAY:
Ms Chicken needs to cross the road (actually, 2 roads). Why? to collect glittering gold coins, of course. Then she needs to return home and deposit the coins (like a Chicken Bank under the mattress). Ms Chicken moves with the player simple swipes (forward, backward, left and right), each swipe moves Ms Chicken by 1 Jump Distance. There are 15 coins for each level, and each coin collected is re-generated after a while (as a matter of interest). However, should the Life Span expires or Ms Chicken is hit by a bus or a vehicle, then it’s Game Over!
OBJECTIVE:
Bank the highest number of coins within the defined Life Span, Bus Speed, Vehicle Speed and Jump Distance per game level or player custom parameters.
GAME LAUNCH:
8XRoad starts at the easiest/slowest Level 1 (of 8), the ‘average’ player level being Level 5 of 8. However, when you exit the game at a specific level, then the same level is presented when you re-launch the game again. You can also set a Game Launch Level in Settings (then exit game and re-launch on that level).
CUSTOM PARAMETERS:
8XRoad levels have pre-defined Life Span, Bus Speed, Vehicle Speed and Jump Distance per level. In Settings: Custom Parameters, you can Set your own:
o Life Span (from 100 to 1000, default 300).
o Bus Speed (from 40 very slow to 150 very fast, default 100).
o Vehicle Speed (from 100 very slow to 300 very fast, default 200).
o Jump Distance (from 1.0 to 1.9)
Custom Parameters will apply to all levels when a new level is launched (not the level displayed before the parameters are set). You can always return and Cancel the custom parameters, which will restore the defaults per level.
SOUND EFFECTS:
Game Music and Sound Effects have dedicated On/Off buttons at anytime during the game (bottom of screen buttons) and can also be set in Settings. When you tap/touch Settings icon (on the game scene) while playing, all music and sounds will be set to Off.
SCORING:
Game Coins Score increases +1 for each Coin collected. Bank Score increases +1 for each Coin banked. The Life Span decrease -1 as time runs, regardless if Ms Chicken is moving or not (Hint: Keep Moving!).
GAME OVER:
Game Over when Life Span = 0 or Ms Chicken is hit be a bus or vehicle.
LEVELS:
There are 8 levels. Each level has unique Parameters:
1. Life Span 500 Bus Speed 50 Vehicle Speed 100 Jump Distance 1.0
2. Life Span 450 Bus Speed 70 Vehicle Speed 120 Jump Distance 1.0
3. Life Span 400 Bus Speed 90 Vehicle Speed 140 Jump Distance 1.0
4. Life Span 350 Bus Speed 100 Vehicle Speed 160 Jump Distance 1.0
5. Life Span 300 Bus Speed 100 Vehicle Speed 200 Jump Distance 1.0 (too fast for a few)
6. Life Span 250 Bus Speed 110 Vehicle Speed 200 Jump Distance 1.5 (too fast for some)
7. Life Span 200 Bus Speed 110 Vehicle Speed 220 Jump Distance 1.7 (too fast for many)
8. Life Span 150 Bus Speed 120 Vehicle Speed 240 Jump Distance 1.9 (too fast for any)
BUTTONS:
Refresh shuffles the same level, Music/Sound On/Off switches game music and sound effects on or off (for more peaceful game play:), Level Up launches a higher level (up to 8, the rotates back to 1), Level Down launches a lower level set (down to 1, the rotates back to 8) and Settings shows 'Game Launch Level’,’Music Tunes’,’Music & Sounds’,’Custom Parameters’,’App Info','Credits’,’Blog’ and '8Apps & 8Games'.
LABELS:
Level shows the level number (white). When Custom Parameters are Set, Level label disappears.
