Locals InMotion™

Locals InMotion for iPhone launched in November of 2017 to help locals (and visitors alike) find nearby places to eat, drink, shop and play. Locals InMotion works with nearly 200 businesses in New Jersey that have provided us information on their weekly specials, events and happenings. On Locals InMotion, you can easily find information on nearby restaurants, events, shops and more. Locals InMotion only features locally owned restaurants, shops and events. No chains. No big box stores. No franchises. Ever.

Locals InMotion can help you find information about your area a few different ways. First, you can open the Locals InMotion app and see what is closest to your current location. Second, you can use Locals InMotion’s map to move around your area and find things to do. Lastly, you can apply filters in Locals InMotion for an even more refined search based on your interests and your location. Once you find businesses you like, you can simply mark that business as a “favorite” for quick access the next time you’re looking for something to do.

Once you are at a business, you’ll see a couple of icons appear on your app for the business. First, a check-in icon appears once you are onsite. Checking in allows you to earn points for future rewards at the business, or from Locals InMotion.

Promotions are any deals that a business may be running for users. If your visiting a business that has a promotion you can redeem, you’ll see a “redeem” icon appear by that promotion when you’re at the business. Simply click the “redeem” button, and show your phone to an employee. The’ll enter a unique redemption code and that’s it!

Locals InMotion isn’t just about finding one-off deals. It is all about getting you information about things in your area that you might not have otherwise found. You’ll see tons of specials for dinner, lunch, breakfast, brunch, happy hour, shopping, family fun, nearby events and more. Every business listed on Locals InMotion is usually sharing a number of events, promotions and specials with our users, not just one deal.

Promotions that you view within Locals InMotion are unique deals that a business may be running for our users. If you’d like to redeem a promotion, you must be at the business at the time of redemption and present the offer to them. Once a business employee validates the promotion redemption on your device, you’re good to go! You may also earn points at that business for our upcoming rewards program, Rewards InMotion™

Locals InMotion is already tied to several other InMotion platforms in New Jersey including Jersey Shore InMotion, Central Jersey InMotion and North Jersey InMotion. We will be adding new areas to our InMotion community in the near future. Each area covered by our InMotion service will have a blog that is full of content on nearby restaurants, shops, events, local happenings and more. Rewards InMotion™ is a rewards program component built into your Locals InMotion app. Once activated in early 2018, you will be able to redeem your accrued check in points from participating businesses for special perks that the business is offering its guests.
