Cobbet - A College Marketplace is a platform for college students to Buy and Sell or Rent almost anything to other students, from their or nearby colleges. It lets you find anything from gadgets, books, lab instruments, daily utilities, semester projects to programmers for your next project! It also has a chat functionality so that you can instantly connect with the owner of item.
OUR MOTIVATION:
In college life we, students require many things (Personal or Acedemic materials) to keep going. Especially in acedemic life where we buy something like Electic Motor or Engineering Drawing Drafter for only 1 semester and keep it life long just to gather dust. Why not Sell or Rent such items to other needy college students at relatively less price so that both of you can profit. Cobbet aims to achieve this helping enviroment among students by helping them sell/rent their items.
HOW IT WORKS:
1. For Sellers
• Post a new Ad.
• Wait for someone to find your Ad useful and initiate a chat with you through Chat feature in Cobbet.
• Fix meeting place and time with the requesting person.
• When you meet, handover the item to requester and collect money.
2. For Buyers
• Search or Browse through the ads of other college students. You also apply filters.
• When you find what you are looking, initiate a chat with owner of item through Chat feature in Cobbet.
• Fix meeting place and time with the owner of item.
• When you meet, collect the item from owner and pay him/her.
NOTE: Enter meaningful and good keywords for your Ad, so that other students can find it easily.
For example:
You can use class or divison name like '#CS193P' or '#IT-FourthYear' as one keyword for your Ad so that other students in your class can see all the items being sold in your class or division.
Similarly You can also use college names in keyword.
MAJOR FEATURES:
1. Post an Ad for Selling or Renting an item.
2. Add Custom "Keywords" for your Ad so that other students can find it easily.
3. Browse through all the Ads posted by other college students.
4. Filter Ads based on College and Subjects.
5. Chat with the owner of item.
SUPPORT
We have support for majority of colleges in Mumbai. If you don't find your college or if you belong to some other location please let us know your college details at support@cobbet.com. We will try to add your college in Cobbet at our earliest.
