CCIR - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania

The mobile application of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) was conceived as an information tool for the Romanian Chamber System, its partners, the business community and the general public. Through the application, users can access in real-time the news and updates regarding CCIR’s work, the President's agenda and information on CCIR’s services and products.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the most important representation forums of the Romanian business community. Exponent of the free market economy, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania has actively contributed to development of the business environment and consequently to Romania’s progress. Currently, the Chamber System in Romania is regulated by Law no. 335 of 2007 of the Chambers of Commerce in Romania, amended by Law no. 39/2011. In the present structure, there is one Chamber of Commerce in every district capital, and all are grouped around the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania. The Chamber System in Romania represents the associative business network with the most extensive representation at a national level and is the only organization present in every district of the country.

The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania is, starting from the 6th of June 2014, Mr. Mihai Daraban, the President of the Constanța Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Navigation and Agriculture.

Institutionalized representative of the Chamber System and the business community in Romania in relation to the public central authorities, CCIR aims to strengthen the Romanian business environment by providing a climate conductive to business growth, characterized by predictability and transparency. The strategy of CCIR is aimed at boosting the competitiveness of Romanian companies and increasing the level of domestic and foreign investments, through projects designed to stimulate entrepreneurial initiative, which will lead to achieving prosperity at the level of business community and to relaunching Romania's position on the international market.

CCIR is working towards the continuous development of the Romanian business environment through initiatives meant to promote access to finance, as the 2014-2020 multiannual financial framework provides to the Chamber System the necessary tools to achieve sustainable organizational development, in order to support the national business environment.
