Mary and the Sea Monster: A Personalised Kids App

"Mary & the Sea Monster" is a fun animated story based on the life of Mary Anning, who at the age of 12 discovered the first evidence of prehistoric sea reptiles. You join her in the story by adding your photo, and helping Mary prove her theories, but you can do it on your own. You will need to get the help of your son, daughter, grandchild, niece, nephew, etc.

After you have personalised your version of the story with your name and picture, you can send it on to your chosen family member. Once they receive your gift, they can play back the story, and complete 4 games along the way. At the end of the story there is a digital 'colouring in' which they can use to make their own picture of a dinosaur, and then send it back to you as a 'thank you'.

Here's how to retrieve and play a story that someone else has created for you:

- Using your iPad, click the link in the email that was sent to you
or
- Go to www.gingersnap.tv/code/ and type in the 8 letter Story ID on the postcard that you received
then
- Click the 'Open in App' button on the webpage
- Download the app onto your iPad from the Apple Apps Store... remember it's free so there is nothing to pay
- Launch the App from your home screen and enjoy watching the story and playing the games

At the end of the adventure, if you complete the story and crack the challenges, you will then unlock a creative 'colouring in' so you can make your own picture of a dinosaur. You can then save the picture to your camera-roll and send it via email as a digital 'thank you'.
