Based in Murwillumbah, NSW, Australia - just 30 minutes from the Gold Coast International Airport AWOL Adventures is home to a unique fleet of ex-Australian Army 4-Wheel Drive Land Rovers and Auscam trucks - the perfect vehicles for exploring the stunning local area.
AWOL Adventures provides unparalleled authentic Australian guided tours. Don’t be jammed in a tourist coach, we want you out exploring. We believe in adventure and we love dirt roads. We believe travel should be rich in experience, it should take you to places you don’t expect, it should immerse you in the local area and surprise you.
Whether you hire a 4WD vehicle for a self-drive experience, tag along on a Tag-Along Tour, join one of our specially designed escorted 4WD tours or sit back and enjoy one of our unique AWOL Bus Sightseeing Tours, AWOL Adventures has something for everyone.
The AWOL fleet ranges from 110 Perentie 4WD’s to 6WD Perentie troop carriers and custom campers, trailers and camp kitchens. The troop carriers are ideal for small group guided tours of 8 to 10 people. The customized two seater 110 Perentie 4x4 campers are decked out with camping gear, including a bed in the back with a mesh enclosure. 4×4 Camp trailers for extended camping adventures are also available. 6WD MC2 vehicles are great for larger groups and team building activities.
