Point of View Park

The Point-of-View Park app teaches children how to “put themselves into someone else’s shoes,” which encourages empathy, tolerance, and understanding towards others.

The child and parent play the game together and are hosted on this virtual island by a savvy parrot named Pepi. Ranger Rob is a wise park ranger who takes visitors up the trail to Mount Point-of-View on Pepi’s Island where they learn about Empathy Town. The Player gains practice in understanding other people’s points of view in over 100 social scenarios.

The Player advances through eight chapters, earning points and tokens in a personalized treasure chest. A game board with a moving turtle keeps track of the Player’s progress. The Player answers questions either through a multiple choice format or by typing or saying answers through Siri (voice to text). Pepi and Ranger Rob award the Player a Life Ranger Badge at the end of this exciting and educational adventure!

The discussion stimulated through game play serves as a catalyst for social-emotional learning, values clarification, and bonding between the child and parent.

Up to four players can use the app with individualized scoring.

Tablet sound should be turned on to benefit from multi-media content.
