A handy pocket reference to the Beaufort Wind Force Scale. Clearly displays wind speed ranges for each force and provide details of the expected sea and land conditions with an example photo.
Useful for sailing, fishing and many other outdoor activities where internet access or paper versions may not be available.
The Beaufort Scale is an empirical measure for describing wind speed based mainly on observed sea conditions. The Beaufort Scale was published in 1805.
It has 13 steps and gives the wind speed in knots and miles per hour. The scale was originally published for use at sea and was later adapted for use on land.
Works without internet access and also in Airplane Mode.
